Key Switches are installed in secure locations outside, in parallel or series with the power
supply and the electromagnet lock. If the electromagnet lock cannot be opened due to failure
of proximity reader or other incidents, the user can switch between normally closed (N.C.) and
normally open (N.O.) contacts by the key, forcing the door to open. This acts as a backup to
access control systems.

What is “Maintained” and “Momentary” Switch?
Maintained Switch means when switching N.O. contact to N.C. contact by the key, users have to use the key for switching N.C. to N.O. again.
Momentary Switch means when switching N.O. contact to N.C. contact by the key, it will automatically return to its normal position (N.O.)
