Prospects for 2011

GEM has been operating smoothly since moving to Tucheng in 2010. The total business has achieved 18% growth during January to December 2010 compared to the same period in 2009.

In the coming year, we will expand new oversea markets and develop state-of-the-art products to increase sales profits. Besides it is crucial to recognize and deal with unfavorable factors in recent international trade. One of the factors would be QE policies used by the US government. We expect the cost of materials and business operation in general would be going up. In addition, the exchange rate of NT Dollar against US Dollar could be heating up the competition between GEM and other suppliers in China and Malaysia. Under these adverse conditions our primary strategies are to create new business opportunities, produce outstanding and green products. We believe by the third quarter our constant effort will boost business and exceed what we had achieved in 2010.

As a leading brand in Taiwan, GEM has been dedicated to and well-known for designing and manufacturing a wide range of high quality locks and hardware. We will also continue offering professional security solutions for residential, commercial and public areas to satisfy different customers’ needs for access management.

Customer satisfaction and quality control are still what GEM strives for in 2011. To fulfill various customers’ requirements, we aim to develop new lines of products, and on the other hand improve existent locks in spite of the increasing cost in R&D and raw materials.
